Theologocial Education And Ministry Support
Native Teams is based on our diocesan belief of total ministry. People who may or may not feel a call to ordained ministry are raised up from within the community because of what they see in that person as gifts of ministry. They in turn agree to go through a discernment process with other people from the church who know them in whether they are indeed called to be ordained to the Diaconate or Priesthood. What is different about TEAMS is that rather than go off to seminary for 3 years, they are locally trained and ordained and volunteer their time and talents unto the Lord. If they choose to become stipendary, they must complete an undergraduate degree and complete a Seminary education.
